Connecting you to Contemporary African art, design & craft.

Curate & Co. connects international collectors, institutions, cultural organisations, and the genuinely art-curious to Africa's contemporary art, design and craft world through curated experiences, bespoke travel, advisory work, and exhibition projects. We are embedded in this world, which means the access we offer is real. A genuine encounter with the people, spaces and stories that matter.

Claire Breukel

Thobeka Ndlela is a Cape Town-based cultural strategist and connector whose work sits at the intersection of brand, storytelling, and the contemporary African art world. She brings more than 16 years of cross-sector experience to Curate & Co.

Shaped by senior roles in brand strategy and corporate communications before moving into the cultural sector. Most recently, she served as Head of Institutional Advancement at a major international museum, where she built and stewarded relationships with major collectors and philanthropists.

Her instinct is for the unexpected room, the right introduction, and the experience that stays with you.

Claire Breukel has worked as an art professional for two decades between Miami, New York, and San Salvador and Cape Town. Today, her interests lie in care as a counter action, applying this approach to sharing the creative communities in which she lives with intention. She has curated museum, non-profit and gallery exhibitions in Cape Town, Prague, Paris, New York, Miami, San Salvador, Vienna and Park City.

For four years she worked as Head of Global Programs under the leadership of the late visionary Koyo Kouoh and in Miami and New York for 19 years prior to that.

Claire is an arts writer for multiple international publications.

Two programmes. Both by invitation. Both strictly limited.

Cape Town, February 2027. The city where Africa's contemporary art world actually lives. Studios, galleries, and the people shaping what comes next.

Miami, December 2027. Four days inside Art Basel week, before the fair floor opens.

Private collections, curator conversations, and the rooms most people never reach.
